I've been working as a Designer for over 20 years, mostly as a self employed and in design studios that I co-owned. During my career I had experience across diverse design fields and disciplines: objects, interaction, books... In a word where specialization is seen as a success strategy, I decided to follow what passionate me, facing the requested tasks as a challenge for my talent and capabilities. This attitude helped me to live in a continuos learning process, that is still on going.
My corner stone and passion is to use my technical and intellectual skills to create something concrete. According to me, Design is the process that begins with a research, go through the processing of information that lead to the idea, which is then concretized and made usable by everyone, getting out from the mind of who thought it.
Confront different issues and tasks is a stimulus for me. This attitude allowed me to learn and be able to grasp the complexity of the birth of a new product in its differents aspects and steps. I think having a strong design method and an open mind is the goal of each designer. This way the designer can cope its work fully and consciously, having a global vision of the design process, be it an object, a communication, an interaction. The understanding and knowledge lead to innovation. Without food, how can we grow and improve? In the same way, our mind needs to be continuosly feeded and stimulated with new exploration opportunities.
Beside my activity of designer:
- since 2004 I am part of the Adobe Guru, a group of experts recognized by Adobe. I am specialized in Photosohp, Digital Imaging, ad its use in design.
- 2013 - 2017, part of the community Adobe Community Professional.
- Lecturer of Computer Graphics at Istituto Europeo di Design, Milan, for 13 years.
- I was Adobe Certified Instuctor per years.
- Author of 8 manuals Photoshop bestsellers in Italy.
