About the project

The customer asked for new concepts for kettle with a metal body, for European market. 
The design of Sofia came from out from a simple basic geometry: a truncated cone. A diagonal line intersects the cone and defines the lid and the upper part of the handle. The flared shape gives a feminine aspect to this kettle, so I gave Sophia as a name to it. Sofia is a woman's name that means the Truth, referring to the purity of the lines.
The lid has a decoration that helps the grip when you need to open and close it. The same bas-relief was repeated on the base.
